Nick Oneill's
unique contemporary art skillfully blends the use of pure colours on a dark background as invented by the 16th century Venetian master, Giorgione,
into modern marine subjects. Enhanced with elements of the detail and truth to nature practised by
the 19th century Pre-Raphaelite artists, the resulting works are striking and yet deep and engaging in character.
Nick Oneill draws upon his experiences of diving, particularly in the Cayman Islands,
where his parents are resident. His Marine art has been shown in prestigious galleries, featured in magazines and works
sold to corporations and private collectors worldwide. Nick's breadth of skill extends to custom airbrush painting on motorsport helmets and even
a recent commission to paint nose art on a fighter jet.
